Well, it’s been a bit of a surprise to your humble author, but I seem to have created a podcast of the most recent Knumptytravel post, almost by way of a happy accident.
I won’t bore you with the technical details, except to say that it seems to have come about through a very clever piece of ‘back-door’ marketing by Spotify which simply offered a free podcast service, of which it proved almost stupidly simple to avail.
Like so much of online activity these days, I ticked a box, clicked ‘Continue’ and in the following brief few minutes – there it was – a fully automated podcast audio version of the latest blog.
The delight is that I now sound as if I’m being read aloud by Bill Bryson or Garrison Keillor, about which I’m certainly not complaining, even though it imparts a distinctive trans-Atlantic timbre to our frightfully British tales of derring-do.
If you’d like to give it a try, just click the link and let me know what you think. If there’s an appetite amongst the three of you who currently constitute this blog’s avid readership, then I’ll expend yet more exciting minutes and convert a few more for your aural pleasure.
Happy listening!
Yea!!!!
I haven’t listened yet but will do this morning when I’m driving.
Your blogs would make great podcasts. Make sure you monetise them. I believe they pay much better than YouTube.

Thanks so much Shirley – it was your idea in the first place and I’ll heed your further suggestion! Enjoy the American accent!

If course! A podcast! What a delight! But it would be absolutely required to have YOUR quirky tones filling the airwaves!

Thanks Liz – even with all this alleged time on my hands I’m not sure it’s feasible for me to record them! But your thought is appreciated nonetheless!

No!!!!!
It has to be you but at that speed when I read your blogs I hear you say it because I know you – so podcast yes – but in your voice and at the same speed as the American guy
I shall look forward to being read to by you.

Well thank you Claire – demand seems to be high although there are technical and time constraints on reading them aloud to you! Maybe when I retire I’ll have the time? 😂

Hilarious! The machine is taking control!!!

It is! It’s really quite worrying how fast a machine can add a voice to a written piece!
